Reach the Mountains Program

At MTT, we have introduced the Reach the Mountains program to help overcome barriers causing educational inequality. This is a face-to-face tuition program. The program pairs students with senior high school students to tackle the following issues:

How the program benefits students receiving tutoring:

Affordability

Accessibility

Mentorship

Money

Tutoring can be expensive which means many families cannot afford to get their children the help they need. Our Reach the Mountains Program offers tuition at a discounted, affordable price meaning more families are able to afford tutoring.

Location Mark

University students perform most tutoring in Australia, meaning students in University towns have access to a range of talented tutors. Students in rural and remote areas often have to rely on online tuition, however this does not cater for the needs of all students. At MTT, we hope bringing this program to remote areas will improve access to tutoring.

Brainstorming

Children and young people benefit extensively from having mentors and role models. One of the aims of the Reach the Mountains program is to build links in the community through mentorship of young people through older peers that are leading lives worthy of emulating.

How the program benefits our high school students working as tutors:

Work Experience

Community Involvement

Piggy Bank

This is a paid opportunity for our high school tutors. Whether you are saving for a car or just want a bit of spare money to spend, working for MTT will make your bank account grow!

Helping Hand Icon

Working for MTT will give you an opportunity to build your resume and learn the importance of punctuality, reliability and organisation in the workforce.

Being involved in your community is rewarding and fulfilling. At MTT, our Reach the Mountains program will empower you to be a mentor for the children you tutor.
